Conceptual Sketches for Pfluger Bridge
The Pfluger pedestrian bridge has become one of the most utilized public spaces in Austin with thousands of Austinites enjoying the beauty of Lady Bird Lake as they walk, bike, and hike on a daily basis. Originally in 1998 the City of Austin held a "brainstorming" workshop for the initial early conceptualization of the design of this bridge. Here are a few of the sketches we discovered in our archives which we thought you would enjoy as it is always fascinating to see where an idea as grand and beautiful as the Pfluger bridge began!
